-4 prisoners, A,B,C,D
-They are arranged in a line.
-In this line, D can see A,B and C. C can see only A and B, but not D. B can see only A, A can see none of the others. (all facing the same direction, like line up)
-Jailor shows them 6 hats.
-Colours are as follows: 3 white hats, 2 black hats, 1 red hat.
-Prisoners are blindfolded, each one has a hat placed on their head. Remaining 2 hats are kept.
-After blindfolds are removed, jailer issues ultimatum, any one shouts out the colour of their hat within 5 minutes, all will be released. If the guess is wrong or no one manages to guess in time, all will be executed.
-A shouts out the colour of his hat after exactly 4 minutes and 59 seconds. Everyone is released. ('A' KNEW the colour of his hat when he shouted it out).
-All the prisoners are smart people, and they all want to be released.
EXTRA!!!
-They were not allowed any talking, communication whatsoever. (signal, nudges, touch, NOTHING)
-[EXTRA BIG HINT]if D saw A wearing red and if he saw b and c wear black then D can answer -'A' did KNOW the answer. the rest do not. SO WHAT MAKES IT LIKE THAT?
-[SPOILERRRRRR]'A' noticed that D had the most information about the others' hats but could not answer. why? How did 'A' know the answer?
